ATV Field DayYouth ClassesJoin us for an exciting and educational Youth ATV Field Day sponsored by Carlton County Riders! This hands-on event is designed for youth ages 10–15 who have successfully completed the Minnesota DNR Online ATV Safety Course. Participants will practice essential ATV riding skills in a controlled, supervised environment. Certified instructors will cover topics like safe riding techniques, basic maintenance, environmental awareness, and trail etiquette. This field day is the final step to earn your Minnesota ATV Safety Certificate. All students must have completed the online safety course at https://www.atvcourse.com/usa/minnesota. Please print out your certificate of completion and bring it with. Creative JournalingAdult ClassesCreative Journaling 101: A Beginner’s Guide to Junk Journals Have you seen beautiful junk journals online and wondered what they are? This relaxed, hands-on class is the perfect place to start! We’ll explore the differences between junk journals, scrapbooking, glue books, and art journaling, then cover simple techniques, basic supplies, and easy ways to begin creating your own one-of-a-kind journal. No experience or artistic talent required—just come ready to play, create, and be inspired. This fall we will offer several introductory sessions, and beginning in January we will meet bi-weekly to learn the more in depth details of junk journaling as well as create our own journals from scratch, decorate and embellish the pages and add interactive elements that fit your style! Drone ClubYouth ClassesDrone Club is back!!! Join us for a one-week Drone Club, with separate sessions for grades 4–8. Throughout the week, participants will take on exciting drone challenges such as obstacle courses, precision landings, and team relays. These hands-on activities build coordination, problem-solving skills, and teamwork while introducing the fundamentals of drone flight. We have three registration options: I Have a Drone – $55: For students who participated last time and already own a drone. Buy a Drone – $100: For students who are new and would like to purchase and keep their own drone. School Drone – $55: Five school-owned drones will be available per session for students to use. Please note: No outside drones will be allowed, as they interfere with one another during flight. When: October 26th-30th Time: After school-4:30pm Where: Elementary Cafeteria Grades 4th-8th 7th and 8th graders should walk down after school lets out. The Holiday Play is open to students in grades 3–12, and we encourage anyone who loves acting and being part of a great production to audition. Hunters Safety Interest ListYouth ClassesHunter Safety Interested in learning the skills and knowledge needed to become a safe and responsible hunter? Our Hunter Safety course covers essential topics including firearm safety, hunting ethics, wildlife conservation, and outdoor responsibility. Snowmobile SafteyYouth ClassesSnowmobile Safety Field Day Get ready to put your snowmobile safety knowledge into action! This hands-on field day is the required in-person component of the Minnesota Snowmobile Safety Certification. Students will practice safe riding techniques, review important safety skills, and complete the field exercises needed for certification. Important Information: Students must complete the online Snowmobile Safety Course before attending the field day and bring proof of completion. A parent or guardian is required to attend registration/check-in at the beginning of class. After registration is complete, parents are welcome to leave and return at the designated pick-up time. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather, as portions of the class will be held outdoors. Completion of both the online course and this field day is required to earn Minnesota Snowmobile Safety Certification.
